Happy 78th Birthday 🥳 to Bob the speed merchant, no.105 🛵 😄
Bob enjoyed a special afternoon tea 🍰🫖with his lovely family 🥰this afternoon
They took a trip down memory lane and looked at photos and reminisced about Bobs racing days on his Lambretta 🛵 no.105 at Cadwell back in the 60s. #birthday #familytime #celebration #reminiscing #hobbies #speedmerchant #LambrettaLove #afternoontea #birthdaycake #valeviewheights ... See MoreSee Less

In Bon Voyage 🌎 Club this afternoon we discussed Greek 🇬🇷 Traditions. Most Greeks are named after saints and celebrate their name day every year - which is bigger than their actual birthday 😱 when couples get engaged 💍 the rings go on their left hands and when they get married 💒 they move the rings to their right hand. Easter 🐣 is bigger than Christmas 🎄 and if a black cat crosses your path it is bad luck ! Tuesday the 13th is superstitious not Friday the 13th 😱 It was very interesting learning about and discussing the various Greek traditions which led us to chatting about our very own British 🇬🇧 traditions including afternoon tea, the English 🏴 breakfast, Pancake Day, Sunday Roasts 😋, queuing 😂 Morris dancing and going to the pub 🍻 - amidst our very own afternoon tea ❤️ whilst enjoying home made chocolate cake for Chocolate 🍫 Cake 🍰 Day 😋

26th January is Australia Day 🇦🇺 🦘🐨
The story of Australia 🇦🇺 begins 60,000 years ago. New chapters are written every day. Today we celebrated the nation, their achievements and most of all the Australian 🇦🇺 people. We watched a video of Interesting facts about Australia 🇦🇺 and listened to some native music 🎶 the Didgeridoo 🎶while enjoying afternoon tea. We completed an Australian 🇦🇺 picture quiz and really enjoyed talking about our holidays ✈️🛳️ 🤿and experiences down under 🇦🇺🦘🐨 #australiaday #internationalday #quiz #CareHomeActivities #valeviewheights ... Wouldn’t be BURNS NIGHT 🏴 without the National Dish of Scotland 🏴
HAGGIS,NEEPS and TATTIES washed down with a WEE DRAM 🥃
HAGGIS : A savory pudding made of sheep’s pluck (heart, liver, lungs) minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, and spices.
NEEPS: mashed swede. TATTIES: Creamy mashed potatoes 😋
You find people either love it or hate it 🤔
Our Scottish 🏴 residents love ❤️ it 😋 So they had their National Dish for supper this evening and really enjoyed it 😍 #BurnsNight #ScottishTradition #Haggis #neepsandtatties #scottishfoodanddrink #CareHomeActivities #valeviewheights ... See MoreSee Less
